Still no electricity but I got to Borders early grabbed a table near an outlet. I plugged into a powerstrip brought by another person knowing full well that more outlets are a good thing... good thinking on his part.
People are helping one another, a good sign for humanity, but some are beginning to get a little malodorous. I personally want to thank God for gas hot water heaters. We may not have electricity but I can at least shower. Shaving - not so much. No lights in the bathroom and it is too dark to put a razor to my neck without. The temp in the house is 54 degrees.
On a related subject, I may be the only person on my block with a chain saw. Good news is we are getting to know our neighbors. Full trees are down everywhere. We are, once again, lucky. All the trees down in our and our neighbor's yard all fell away from the house and didn't badly block any doorways or garage doors.
As far as communication goes - the City of Tulsa is doing a good job with the tools they have. Media has all kinds of updates from a variety of sources. Way to go Tulsa!!
